Day 1: Chau Doc - Can Tho
After being picked up from your hotel or guesthouse, we transfer to the boat dock. First we take a ride cruising to a fish farm, where you will be hear about the ways of life and work of the floating-house people.
A Cham minority village is the next one visited, where a towel weaving workshop is visited, with the weaving of the colourful traditional wears (sarongs and towels) on display. We have a chance to learn more about the Mekong Delta people of stilted houses, especially the Cham ethnic minority people.
Then we head back to Chau Doc, for a bus to Can Tho. On the way, we stop over at an incense stick home-workshop, then go on to Can Tho.
We transfer to Phong Dien village by boat. Then we have lunch (included) with the Mekong Delta people. You will have the chance to visit the rice fields, and go swimming in the river. Then is the homestay with the local people. You have dinner (included) with Vietnamese tradional dishes.
Day 2: Can Tho - Vinh Long - My Tho - Saigon
After breakfast we take a small boat to discover the 2 biggest floating markets in the Mekong Delta; Cai Rang and Phong Dien. Cruise the small canals through villages interconected by Monkey bridges, and visit Vermicelli making and rice mills. The boat takes us back to Can Tho for lunch and a tour of the city.
After lunch, we join the tour bus to Vinh Long to visit the local market, then go on to My Tho for a short stop at the Bonsai gardens.
End the tour in Saigon at the tourist area, District 1, at 6:30 pm.
